ERP projects fail on process, not software.
We lead ERP selection, implementation, and post-launch optimization from the business side — defining requirements, redesigning processes, and making sure the accounting and operational workflows in the system reflect how the company actually needs to run.
When the system becomes the obstacle
Even a well-chosen ERP can underperform when it is implemented badly — configuring it around existing broken processes, migrating unreliable data, and going live without the reporting leadership needs.
- Finance and operations run on systems that do not share data
- The implementation partner knows the software but not your business
- Critical reporting still happens in spreadsheets after go-live
- Users have built workarounds that quietly bypass the system
Who this is for
- Companies selecting an ERP for the first time
- Businesses whose current ERP was implemented poorly and underperforms
- Organizations that have outgrown QuickBooks and disconnected point solutions
- Companies in the middle of an implementation that has lost direction
- Multi-entity or multi-location businesses consolidating onto one platform
The work, specifically.
Engagements are scoped to what your business needs. These are the components we most often build.
- 01
Requirements definition
A structured view of what the business actually needs, separated from what individual departments are used to doing.
- 02
System selection
Platform-neutral evaluation, vendor demonstrations scripted against your real processes, and a defensible recommendation with total cost of ownership.
- 03
Process redesign
Order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and record-to-report workflows designed before configuration begins.
- 04
Chart of accounts and financial architecture
An account, dimension, and entity structure that supports the reporting you need rather than one that mirrors the old system.
- 05
Data migration
Cleansing, mapping, and validation of master and historical data — the step most implementations underestimate.
- 06
Implementation management
We manage the implementation partner, timeline, testing, and cutover on your behalf, representing the business rather than the vendor.
- 07
Training and adoption
Role-based training, documented procedures, and the internal controls that make the new process stick.
- 08
Post-launch optimization
The reporting, automation, and configuration refinement that most projects never get to because the budget ran out at go-live.
What changes when this works.
- A system your team uses instead of works around
- Connected data across finance and operations
- Reporting that comes from the system, not a spreadsheet

The work within our five-stage method.
These workstreams fit within Understand, Stabilize, Build, Operate, and Improve. Scope determines the starting point.
- 01
Current state
Document how work actually moves through the business today, including the workarounds nobody mentions in meetings.
- 02
Process design
Redesign the target workflows first, so configuration decisions follow from process decisions rather than the reverse.
- 03
Configuration and migration
Configure the financial and operational modules, then clean, map, and validate the data moving into them.
- 04
Training, reporting, optimization
Train by role, build the reporting layer, and keep refining the system through the first several closes.
Financial problems often start outside finance.
A reporting issue may actually be a CRM data issue, an inventory process issue, or an ERP configuration issue. Because Advisory is part of AdōDesign, the same engagement can reach the systems behind the numbers — integrations, automation, and custom software — when that is where the fix belongs.

When operational systems feed a reliable financial core, management reporting becomes an output of the business rather than a monthly assembly project.
Questions we get asked.
Something not covered here? Ask us directly.
No. We evaluate platforms against your requirements and receive no vendor implementation commissions. The recommendation follows the fit. We have deep hands-on experience with Odoo and work regularly across NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Acumatica. Being platform-neutral is the point — the system must fit the business.
Implementation partners are experts in their software. They are not experts in your business, and their contract usually ends at go-live. We represent your side of the project — defining requirements, making process decisions, validating data, managing scope, and owning the outcome after the partner rolls off.
For a mid-sized company, typically six to twelve months from selection to go-live, with meaningful optimization continuing for six months after. Timelines stretch most often because of data quality and undecided process questions, which is why we front-load both.
Yes, and it is a common engagement. We diagnose whether the issue is configuration, process, data, training, or reporting — the fix is different in each case — and then rebuild the weak layer without restarting the whole project.
Start with the business problem.
Most engagements begin with an assessment. If your scope is already clear, we can discuss a project or ongoing leadership directly.
